Hello One and All!
So, some of you signed up for the High Desert newsletter, and some of you for Tottenberg. All of you have converged here on the Stardrifter newsletter.
High Desert is gone, but Stardrifter, as a creative endeavor, was the one thing most people were interested in from over there, so now it’s got a place to shine. Thanks for bearing with me through all this; it’s been quite a trip over the years, and we're not done yet.
The way this will work is that the Tottenberg newsletter will be going out over this same feed for now, until it’s run finishes sometime early in 2022. Meanwhile, Stardrifter will be going out as well, on a release different day. I’m thinking weekly, Wednesday mornings, my time. Stardrifter (as distinct from Tottenberg), will be on all things Stardrifter, including fictional “histories”, articles on cultures and technology, news updates, and the occasional rant. Doubtlessly, the occasional personal essay will pop up here and there as well, since, you know, it’s all about me, me, me.
Self-Defense Charged Particle Array, or charpac mount, for civilian-class vessels (not important for this email, but it’s cool, and I wanted to share. (Art by Ignatz.)
Voice From The Void, the podcast about Stardrifter and the Stardrifter universe, goes out over the Stardrifter podcast feed. (You can sign up for it here, if you haven’t already.) VFTV will likely start cribbing from this blog/newsletter thing. That might be a bit redundant, but it will help keep the podcast on track and current.
Anyway, I’m very happy you’re along for the ride. And if this isn’t what you had in mind, feel free to drop out: it’s all cool, and I’m still extremely grateful for your interest and support.
For everyone else, I'll be talking to you soon!
Take care,
-David
