David,
Great snapshot!
You like you are ready for a hull breech! Don't forget that emergency oxygen!
Did some re-figuring on that 3D animation question. If I reduce the image size (usual for animation) and then change to Blender's faster render engine (Eevee) I can drop that render time down to something between 10-14 seconds per frame. Much more reasonable.
In fact, if I drop down to the so-called workbench render engine the time per frame is reduced to less than 2 seconds. Of course, the workbench renderer really only shows the geometry with a single material and a default sort of lighting. Not really the same sort of atmosphere, but definitely stereo... and quick!
Might try setting up something later in the day. Just for grins.

Just havin' too much fun with this.

David,
I threw together a little video of the Box Hauler in stereo. Didn't have much time for the truth n' beauty treatment, but it works. This rendered out in about three hours or so while I was outside mowing the lawn. Hope it amuses you.
Think I'll give the stereo stuff a rest for a while.

Ignatz,
It pops right out of the screen! It's amazing!
When I was a kid, I saw "Creature From the Black Lagoon" in 3D; they brought it back for like a week, during the summer. The place was
packed with other children, and, having been born too late for the first 3D movie craze, none of us had seen one before. What an experience that was: the kids in the front row kept reaching up, trying to grab fish swimming off the screen!
It seems 3D, as a film technology, gets a resurgence about every thirty years, so I expect to see it come back again some time in the late 2040s (assuming there are any movie theaters left by that point).
Thank you so much for that: a vision of mine has reach the screen...now in thrilling 3D!!!
