Ignatz,
Those look great. Let's assume that, by default, when the missiles are ejected (through some mechanical or magnetic means), they don't arm themselves until x-number of seconds, minutes, hours, or even days after the thrusters pop out. The arming sequence can be delayed by the gunner as desired, and the engines can be ramped up or down, turned on or off, mid-flight.
I like this a lot!

Totally agree, David;
There is, of course, precedent for the gunner having this kind of control in "Street Candles" when Ejoq launches that single missile, unarmed, with the barest kiss of thrust out of the tube. Fine grain control. Yum!
Have included yet another render or two. The airlock/access hatch has been added to the base of the locking tower.
Sharp eyes will also notice that the catwalk railing has been interrupted in places to allow easier pass-through along the beams when going out to inspect the support pads.
