Unfortunately, we can't see the ship very well. I realize the issue involved, of course: if you're close enough to see the box frame in detail, you can't see the ship; if you're close enough to see the ship, you can't see the box frame.
I reworked the idea a bit, and have attached it here.
We could also change it up a bit, and only include a few of the elements. Say, the ship and the box, or the ship and the spaceman?

You've put your finger on the problem. We have some large and somewhat disparate objects that don't mix quite like we see in our "mind's eye".
I tried a slight rework of what the first idea, coming in closer. It is somewhat better, but I'm thinking it, too, isn't quite right. The ship is larger, but as you pointed out, the entity of the cargo frame is now less obvious as to what it is. The (larger) spaceman is also competing for our attention.
Your new sketch has possibilities. I'll put eyes on it tomorrow.
