Yeah, I'm assuming that, if a lot of travel back-and-forth between vessels was deemed necessary for a cruise, they would set the jump bubble a bit further out; but of course, the bigger the bubble, the more power you need, and the bigger the starjump engine. Overlapping fields, from multiple ships, would help with that.
Yeah, the thruster drones will be the biggest of them. They'd probably be exclusively stored on the ship's magnetic pads, up top. They really could be fairly big, by comparison. I mean, why not? They are separate spacecraft entirely.

Just how big is big? Guess we'll see. I'll work out a concept. If you think it must be larger, then larger it shall be. How to recharge or fuel the thing might become an issue, but I'm sure the tech boys in R&D will come up with something.
