That's beautiful. Very moody, but I'd imagine your feeling is right in that they'd have white lights out there, with smaller colored indicator lights on or around the door.
The level of detail, when zoomed in, is so startling and impressive!
Regarding tether lines for EVA techs, I imagine a type of clip-on latch. It has their tether on one end, and hooks on to the ladder with the other. As they pull themselves along the ladder, the latch is designed to pass over the rungs seamlessly. They can go straight, or if they come to a ladder junction, the latch can be pulled in another direction without problem.
This isn't something we'd see in a ship illustration, of course, but it helps me to visualize how the vessel functions.

I love it! Just enough light to see by, but not so much that things aren't dark and mysterious. We gotta have our creepy spacewalks now and then!
